How to ride a mini ramp

My new local single track!

http://www.blackcanoncollective.co.uk/

Joined a local bike club yesterday and headed over for the club ride - awesome single track right on my doorstep (ish)! The single track is all over the Longleat esate if you know where to look and the club have their own downhill trails they regularly build and maintain plus as a member you get to use the Tickertape lap timers on the weekends.

Did single speeding proud and kept up (just) with the quick group for a 16 mile session. This morning I do have bruises, scrapes and minimal mobility in my right shoulder and struggle to walk up stairs! (One of the lads had to go to hospital after a nasty fall.) Ended at a local pub for beer - what could be better!

The video (http://www.mtbmovies.com/movies.php?id=750) is of the club members only downhill course - ss hardtail ............... give it a go!

Jump like an XC rider...

MA and the Mountain goat, tutorial in jumping like an XC rider:
MA (1)

MA (2)

Mountain Goat (1)

One set of New (white) SPDs, One 4X Track, One Richard Latham = 3 crashes

Richard "The mountain goat" Latham showed no fear as he took on the 4X track at Aston Hill today (Sunday 14th June 09). In the warm up, before taking on the National graded XC track, he played with the 4X track only to fall on his chin, arm and left knee (simultaneously). Moving on to the XC course, which encorporates part of the Red downhill run, he picked a line through the trees...literally though a tree! crushing his finger (blood through glove) against his bars, and planting his other knee square into the tree! Without fear he moved back to the 4X track to expell some deamons, only to end up expelling more blood and skin - falling hard on his dislocated shoulder and snapping his watch in two (which took most of the skin on his wrist with it!)

Harry Potter filming in Swinley Forest

Al, myself, Chris and RobH rode Bracknell yesterday (for the first time in 9 weeks!) - Some of the trails were shut as there was filming going on.

Quick google search reveals it is Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows) that is being filmed there: http://www.thedailysnitcher.com/index.php/news/744-dh-filming-to-begin-in-swinley-orest
